Saturday, November 17, 2:00 pm
Twenty-four artists from Gallery 110, a Seattle cooperative gallery,
are showing at Blackfish Gallery during the month of November (11/6-12/1.)
The show includes a broad range of media and approaches, including
works incorporating collage, transparency/light box, photography,
ceramics, painting, book arts, and found objects.
Gallery 110 exhibits contemporary art in Seattle's premiere gallery district, historic Pioneer Square. Established in 2002, Gallery 110 represents 30 artists who work in various media. Twenty-four artists are represented in this show at Blackfish. This exchange and others like it reflect the ongoing desire of Blackfish Gallery to reach beyond the city of Portland to showcase other regional artists. In February 2007, Blackfish artists traveled to Seattle to stage a group show of diverse work at Gallery 110 which has a reputation for exhibiting challenging contemporary work by their own artists as well as by invited guests. Additionally in August, several Gallery 110 members exhibited work at the Portland Art Center’s Open Space Gallery. The title of the group show was I-5 Merge.
